From 2010 carries out basic and translational research in ophthalmology dedicated to the study of the ocular surface on the role of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) and reelin within the project: the characterization of the pathway of NGF and its receptors in the retina in KO mice for reelin, in the Head Laboratory of Ophthalmology of the G.B.Bietti Foundation, situated at the British Hospital in Rome and at the secondary branch laboratory (laboratory of ocular surface) at the PRABB (Pole of Research) University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, under the supervision of Dr. Alessandra Micera. I have a background in Ophthalmic laboratory research, with specific training and expertise in key research areas for this application.  As a doctoral fellow at the University Campus Biomedico of Rome, I carried out a project based on a design and testing of an innovative device concerning clinical diagnostics, with particular reference to non-invasiveness and study of new methods aimed at improving the instrumentation sampling of biological material, in terms of measurement accuracy, reliability, safety for the patient and the operators, under the supervision of prof. Loredana Zollo. In addition, I produced several peer-reviewed publications from each project.
