Clinical activity: Doctor Iacono has currently an appointment at Fondazione GB Bietti in Rome. He has contributed to more than 100 peer-reviewed articles published mainly in the areas of Medical Retina. His main area of clinical research is focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of retinal disorders
Dr Iacono achieved the medical degree from the University of Trieste and completed the residency program in Ophthalmology at the same University. He is a medical retina specialist with special interests in myopia, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases and retinal dystrophies.
In 2007 he started a collaboration with the G.B. Bietti Foundation with the aim of deepening the studies in the field of retinal diseases and especially in the diagnosis and treatment.
Member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) and of the European Society of Retina Specialist (EURETINA).
